The Livermore Baum Street East Liberty

Meet the neighbors: The Livermore

The team behind Bar Marco recently opened a new venture in East Liberty. To celebrate, the Livermore mixologists created a special cocktail for us, to share with you, of course.

The Livermore's opening in East Liberty in the Werner building on south Highland Ave. (or, for you locals, "where the Waffle Shop used to be") has already been covered by City Paper, Pop City and the Post-Gazette's PG Plate, so we figured we'd take a different angle: serve up a drink with some eye candy on the side. See below for the new cocktail recipe (exclusive to The Beauty Shoppe's Journal), and enjoy with these photos of the Livermore's charismatic space.

The East Liberty

1.5 oz Hendrix Gin
0.5 oz Fernet Branca
0.5 oz Falernum
0.25 oz Luxardo Maraschino

Stir with a lot of ice, serve up and garnish with a brandy cherry.

The Livermore reclaimed wood and Kristian Kaseman Kristian Kaseman (pictured in the background) co-designed and built out the interior space, using reclaimed wood from an old bowling alley and planks with organic edges intact.
